Purpose: To glorify God through music by leading the congregation in worship – providing leadership in hymns, songs, liturgy and anthems.

Criteria for Service:

  1. Commit this ministry to the Lord through prayer.
  2. Be in regular attendance at rehearsals (Wednesdays -- 7:30-9:00 p.m.).
  3. Desire to play moderately difficult music written or arranged specifically for a brass ensemble with a group of deeply committed men and women.
  4. Attend and lead congregation in worship as scheduled.
  5. Contact Director when unable to attend rehearsal or Sunday worship, in advance, if possible.
  6. Prepare for special services (e.g. – Advent Cantata, Christmas, Easter, Ascension Eve) with additional rehearsals.

Time Commitment: Approximately 2-3 hours per week - This includes Wednesday rehearsals and worship leading – primarily on Sundays at the 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. services and Thanksgiving, Christmas, Holy Week, and Ascension Eve worship times.

Training/Orientation Requirements: This is an “audition only” service opportunity. Each individual ensemble member is expected to have “solo” capability on his/her instrument. Auditions can be arranged through Gregg Brandon.
