The mission of Holy Cross Lutheran Church is to carry out our Lord's Great Commission
to make disciples by reaching out in our community and world to obey His New Commandment
to love one another. We commit ourselves to being equipped for this ministry.
We at Holy Cross Lutheran Church believe, teach, and confess the great doctrines of historic
Christianity as they are revealed to us by God in the Bible.
We believe:
- The Bible is the inerrant Word of God, written by men but inspired by Him.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)
- All people are born sinful in nature as reflected in our thoughts, words, and deeds.
(Romans 3:23)
- Jesus Christ took upon Himself the punishment for our sins by suffering, dying, and rising
from the dead, making it possible for us to have a relationship with God.
(Galatians 4:4-5)
- God is Triune – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – and Jesus Christ is the Son of
God. (John 10:30, Matthew 28:19)
- Those who reject or ignore Jesus as their Savior will suffer eternally in hell, while those
who believe in Him will live with Him forever in heaven.
(John 3:36)
- Christians demonstrate their faith by worshiping with others, reading and studying God's Word,
and by serving others. (Hebrews 10:25)
Holy Cross Lutheran Church equips, trains, and sends people to proclaim and demonstrate
the love of Christ in our community and world.
